Meet the people that make it all possible with #behindtheplane. At Harris Air, our employees embody friendly customer service, witty problem solving and the Alaska spirit.
Meet Director of Flight Operations Kristin!
Kristin’s aviation career has come full circle. Her first flying job was in Anchorage, and in the following decades has seen her flying all over this wonderful country and has now landed her in Sitka to serve as Harris Air’s Director of Flight Operations.
It is her job to keep the airplanes flying safely and to provide excellent service to our clients. This is a job she has done before with FAA certified air carriers in Northern Michigan along with Florida and California too.
With her own airplane, “Maggie” (pictured, Kristin shown on left side), she has crisscrossed the country and has landed in 45 out of the 50 states. Originally from Minnesota, Kristin loves the northern woods and the clean air of Alaska. She makes her home in Sitka with the “Abominable Snow Poodles”, two white standard poodles. She encourages passengers with concerns or questions about their experience with Harris Air to contact her in the Sitka office.
Meet Jaime from Sitka!
The coast guard brought her family to Sitka in 2015 all the way from Guam, where she lived for three years, spending her time scuba diving and paddle boarding. Southeast Alaska was a huge change, but they have really been enjoying their time here embracing the culture and lifestyle.
Originally from San Diego, Jaime grew up playing club volleyball and even had the chance to play against Olympic Gold Medalist Misty May! Since starting with Harris Air as a gate agent last Fall, she has quickly learned the ropes of control agent and reservations. What she enjoys most is helping people get to where they need to go, because she knows Harris Air will take you there!
